                     Yin and Yang
The Chinese Yin and Yang symbol looks like two fishes, one representing active and the other, passive (dark) energy. Or, if you like, good and evil or any other contrast. The "eye" is some of the dark in the light, which will grow and overcome the light - and the same process with the white "eye" in the dark.
                  Deep Yin and Yang
Myrrh says: "Whatever you know about yin and yang, it's more pervasive than you thought!"
Linoleum print, 23 inches diameter. 1997.

             Touch the Universe
Fasten your eyes at a faint small figure on the right going to the water's edge, while your peripheral vision sees the Milky Way above, and you will know the immensity Myrrh felt on the shore of a lake in Yosemite.
The dark smudges in the Milky Way show stellar dust clouds that block the stars behind them from being seen.

Watercolor, 11 X 29 inches, 1993. Collection, Quaker Center, Ben Lomond, CA.
