Since 1981, Myrrh has been arranging informal forums for the organization she founded that year, YLEM: Artists Using Science and Technology. When the Forums create magical evenings, some might call this my"performance art."

When
I was young
I could already feel the
sustained sadness of trees.
Their leaves moved on high
in large processions, gravely.
At  these I gazed  each  day,
stealing glimpses while in class.
Towering branches appeared
as leaves fell away
throughout the
autumn.
In their
spirit
I saw
my
own,
mute
but
majestic.
    
 

A
slow
train
     lumbers
along
under   
 the moon      
like some     
homeward-
bound  
single-
   file of
       amiable
       cattle
       as
      far
    as
   the
eye
can
see 
over  
tousled   
wind-    
blown  
  prairie  
grass
whilst
anxious
    passengers
who strive
ever to be
punctual
      suffocate in
           unanticipated
leisure
