explore the allure of glass in old vacuum tubes,
a technology largely replaced by transistors in
integrated circuits.

Gotham, appr. 5" square X 4" high, 2009. A humorous collection
of vacuum tubes, a microphone, and a small light bulb embellished
with small dichroic glass mirrors.

Goblet set, appr. 9" high, 2009. Tubes and a light bulb set in
painted metal goblets. The vacuum tubes, one made by Eimac,
were for radio transmission. The light bulb is antique.

Crystal Set, appr. 2" X 2" X 5",
2009, vacuum tube on a crystal
base that was once an old ink well.
